Using Virtual Engineering to Optimize Products
Using methods of computational mechanics (CM) to optimize products in the Computational Mechanics Lab (CML) makes it possible to resolve a multitude of mechanical engineering problems in individual components and assemblies. A competence lab, the CML simultaneously provides methods and software for holistic computerized development, optimization and simulation in conjunction with methods of virtual engineering (VE) and virtual reality (VR).
This enables systematically developing solutions in early stages of product planning and thus substantially cutting the costs and time required to develop and test prototypes.
Our service specializations include
- Software technologies to integrate methods of computational engineering in virtual engineering (further development and utilization of fast numeric base algorithms, software tools and interfaces)
- Holistic models of mechanics for virtual engineering based on MKS, FEM, BEM, FDM, etc.
- Holistic product optimization (approaches and integrated solutions to optimize product features and functionalities)
