2006 OPEN DAYS – European Week of Regions and Cities
The 2006 OPEN DAYS – European Week of Regions and Cities (October 9-12, 2006) is the biggest annual event on EU Regional Policy and is organized by the European Commission's Regional Policy Directorate-General, the Committee of the Regions and over 135 regions and cities.

Saxony-Anhalt will be presenting itself together with nine other regions at an Interregional Network Summit in Brussels on October 11, 2006.

More than 100 seminars and workshops will be held
during the OPEN DAYS week. 70 local events will additionally take place throughout Europe. One of them is being organized by the Fraunhofer IFF and will be held in Magdeburg on October 12, 2006.

This event at the Fraunhofer IFF will focus on work in European networks as well as career opportunities for young researchers in Europe. University graduates, doctoral candidates, research fellows, young researchers and interested individuals are invited to exchange experiences and views.

Presentations will be simultaneously translated in German or
English. In addition, there will be exhibits of project work
and tours through the labs. Attendance of the event is free.
