"Virtual Engineering for Business"
10 a.m. at the Virtual Development and Training Centre VDTC, December 6, 2006
Virtual Engineering for Business

The trend toward ever shorter product development cycle and production startup phases as well as commissioning times for complex machinery and plants is increasingly necessitating innovative solutions. Virtual engineering provides a system of technologies that decisively influence the organization of complex products’ life cycles. It provides methods and tools for integrative digital development, testing and operation of products and factories.

The technological infrastructure at the Virtual Development and Training Centre VDTC is designed for the research and development of applied basic technologies and the provision of services based on virtual reality for businesses. This conference for SME is intended to introduce the range of Fraunhofer IFF’s services and its cooperation partners in the field of virtual engineering. On the one hand, interesting research partnerships exist between the Fraunhofer IFF and Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. On the other hand, the Fraunhofer IFF develops customized virtual engineering solutions for industries and businesses together with its business partners TRIVIT AG and PTC GmbH. All in all, this generates a wide variety of potential applications for SME.

Attendance of this event is fee of charge. Since the number of attendees is limited, registration is required.
