5th Virtual Reality Lecture Series
Wednesdays at 5 p.m. from October 22 to November 26, 2008 at Virtual Development and Training Centre VDTC, Joseph-von-Fraunhofer-Strasse 1, Magdeburg
Our 5th Guest Lecture Series will focus on the methods and technologies of virtual reality and virtual engineering. This year too, top speakers from research and business will report on the use of VR and VE technologies in their organizations. Gain insight into the application of these technologies, for instance in state-of-the-art product development or employee qualification.
Virtual Development, Testing and Training as a Competitive Factor for Manufactuing Companies
Constantly changing market requirements demand companies respond quickly and appropriately adapt their products. The time and labor required fro research and development is a crucial competitive factor. Along with product development, service, training and marketing are also increasingly playing a role. The application of methods of virtual reality (VR) and virtual engineering (VE) decisively support manufacturing companies intent on rapidly adapting to markets.
Lectures will be followed by a small tour of the Fraunhofer IFF Virtual Development and Training Centre VDTC. You will for example discover the Elbe Dom, a unique 360 degree laser projection system to present virtual environments.
I would be pleased to welcome you as a guest to the Guest Lecture Series. Attendance is free. Registration is not required.
