Wednesdays at 5 p.m. from October 22 to November 26, 2008 at Virtual Development and Training Centre VDTC, Joseph-von-Fraunhofer-Strasse 1, Magdeburg
Our 5th Guest Lecture Series will focus on the methods and technologies of virtual reality and virtual engineering. This year too, top speakers from research and business will report on the use of VR and VE technologies in their organizations. Gain insight into the application of these technologies, for instance in state-of-the-art product development or employee qualification.

3. Lange Nacht der Wissenschaft am 31. Mai
Bereits zum dritten Mal seit 2006 haben am 31. Mai die Wissenschaftseinrichtungen der Stadt ihre Türen geöffnet. In den Institutionen können Sie das sehen, was ansonsten meist im Verborgenen liegt: Labore, Forschergeräte, Werkstätten und Lehreinrichtungen. Im vergangenen Jahr kamen mehr als 10000 Besucher und staunten über die wissenschaftliche Vielfalt in Magdeburg.
Industry Seminar on "Developing Control Systems with Functional Simulation: Shortening and Validating Development and Commissioning"

Logistics Day Intended to Arouse Public's Enthusiasm
Under the motto “Logistics Makes It Possible”, the first Logistics Day will be held nationwide on April 17 at the initiative of the German Logistics Association (BVL). The goal is to provide the general public insight into logistics operations and information on careers in logistics. The Fraunhofer IFF and Otto von Guericke University’s Institute of Logistics and Material Handling Systems in Magdeburg and IFAK are involved in this promotional day.
Fraunhofer IFF Hosts "Jugend forscht" State Competition
Viva la curiosité! Research fever has broken out again in Saxony-Anhalt's schools, vocational training centers and universities. November 30 was the deadline to register for the youth science and technology competition "Jugend forscht und Schüler experimentieren". Interested young people with projects for the latest round of competition should have registered by then.
