Computer-based technologies that model, simulate and visualize technical products and relationships have become standard tools in industry. Companies use them for a multitude of tasks throughout the entire development and production chain. This also includes the integrated digital development, testing and operation of products, machinery and plants or the training of difficult or dangerous work in virtual space. The methods of virtual and augmented reality furnish many options for users to interact in and with the objects of a computer generated 3-D environment.
