Plant Engineering of the Future: Efficiency in the Plant Life Cycle
March 04, 2010 - March 05, 2010 / Maritim Hotel in Magdeburg

Organizer: Fraunhofer IFF

The issue of energy efficiency preoccupies every manufacturer and operator of industrial plants. According to information from the Verbands der Chemischen Industrie (VCI), energy input per manufactured output has shrunk by 62% in the last forty years. Production has increased while energy consumption has remained nearly constant. Nevertheless, industry experts see more potential for optimization. Concepts are still being demanded for solutions for more resource efficiency. Technical innovation and new control tools for efficient manufacturing will provide the competitive edge of the future.

Focusing on efficiency in the plant life cycle, the conference Plant Engineering of the Future is intended to provide a broad audience of experts from business, research and government a forum where practical solutions will be presented and new fields of application discussed.
